Director of Professional Affairs Position

The Michigan Psychological Association is seeking a fully licensed MPA member to fill the position of Director of Professional Affairs. This is a quarter time contractual position based in Lansing, Michigan.  The position requires extensive work in the legislative and policy making arenas.  Knowledge of the legislative and policy making process is strongly desired.   An ability to communicate effectively with lobbyists, legislators and outside constituency groups is needed.  Preference will be given to individuals knowledgeable in current policy issues involving scope of practice, training and education, mental health services, and insurance matters.  Some training will be available.  The individual will report to the MPA Board.   Hourly contractual rate will be based on experience and qualifications.   Annual attendance at a national conference in Washington D.C.  will be required.  If interested, please send letter of interest and resume to  Dr. Carol J.
