Honoring Wally Prechter & Allan Gilmour


Wally Prechter
Founder, Heinz C. Prechter Bipolar Research Fund

Waltraud ("Wally") Prechter founded The Heinz C. Prechter Fund for Manic Depression in November, 2001. In April, 2004, the fund was transferred to the University of Michigan Depression Center and is now the Heinz C. Prechter Bipolar Research Fund. For a quarter centure, Wally served as the closest business advisor and confidant to her late husband, entrepreneurial visionary Heinz C. Prechter, quietly helping build the business empire that was Prechter Holdings.

Allan Gilmour
Former Vice Chairman, Ford Motor Co.

Retired Ford Motor Company executive, Allan Gilmour, one of the highest ranking executives, officially came out more than ten years ago. He is dedicated to raising money for gay and lesbian organizations and speaking out for the need to break the corporate glass ceiling for "out" executives. He has also been on the boards of directors of Dow Chemical Company, Prudential Insurance Company, Whirlpool Corporation, and others.
